These songs are some of the very few pop songs that can be found in our playlist, mainly pop hip hop 80's mostly the ones people thought we would never give a listen . So who says we're not well rounded individuals?

there seems to be no end for covers of umberella. at least this one is good. (not the video, the song)

Friday, November 23, 2007

it's friday night, i just got off from work and at the moment, i feel almost like shit. Had heaps to do at work just now but lucky for me, im off for the weekend.

Mom's coming over for the weekend, hence me not working. I have to admit, i still have that teeny bit of urge to come to work, but i shall resist the temptation.

I had a few epiphanies these past few days while driving to work in the morning. That's cool. I've always felt inspired when im driving, only prob is that by them time i reached work or home i've forgotten all about it and then ill have pretty much the same stuff going all over again later on.

Today we had a nice conversation while waiting for a job. A little bit of politics, a little bit of nostalgia and then i realised, if i hadn't failed my pilot written test ( which was so much easier compared to the first psychomotor test), i would be earning 5-6k a month now instead of what im currently earning.

Oh the irony.

More Like BOOOOOwulf.

Saturday, November 17, 2007

Today was a work day like any other day, but after signing out my friend suggested to go catch a movie. Initially we wanted to watch Stardust ( heard a lot of good reviews from peers), unfortunately they were no longer showing it so in the end we decided to watch Beowulf.
Don't let the eye candy deceive you. 5 minutes in to the movie i was already feeling bored. The story and plot's pretty shallow and messy. The storyline basically keeps on deviating from the start and preventing from anyone to know what the movie was really about.

Don't think there's an adventure undergone by Beowulf or epic battles between two kingdoms. No. In this movie, you'll see Beowulf ( the hero) fighting this 30 feet tall Gollum-like monster totally nude only to piss off the monster's mother ( Jolie). He then went to the cave to kill the mother but only give in to her temptations and promises and yeah. they made love.

Owh, i forgot to mention why was this monster terorrizing the kingdom. He can't stand loud noises apparently. The men were drinking, celebrating and singing which pisses the monster and in the end killing nearly all the people in the town's hall. The movie was then fastforwarded 30 years into the future in like 2 seconds?! Beowulf was the king and bla bla bla the movie ended 40 minutes later with a hanging and crappy ending. He died.
It's not a totally crappy movie. Maybe its me, who prefers watching deeper less mainstream more character driven movies, but hey! you get to see Angelina jolie's nipple-less and vagina-less naked body 3 times!

If you now me well enough you all probably would have known that i've been going throught some sort of withdrawal syndrome over the weekend.

Its not the drugs or alcohol addiction sort of thing, but recently my two main sources of musical downloads have been shut down and hence, i can no longer download new albums and album leaks.

No worries my concerned friends, throught some hard digging and perserverence i have found a few alternative sites ( not as good) which would feed me while the sites come back online. *fingers crossed*

Secondly, i just can't wait till i'm back in kuching and doing things that i've never done before and rot so bad until i'll get so sick of kuching that i'll be glad to be back in Kl early January. All that's left in the way is time.

A friend of a friend just stopped by few hours ago and brought along with him a bottle of Chivas ( i took only a small cup) and was amazed about all his wonderful stories of girls.

I feel inspired now so im off to bed. Hopefully can meet some hot chicks. Don't we all love that?

Yellow Fellows Of Just

Monday, November 12, 2007

on a not so lighter note, there was this BERSIH march towards Istana Negara to hand in a memorandum to the Agung. All they wanted was fair and just elections for the country.

instead we have this.

update: a transcipt of the whole phone interview and what not.

Minister: I commend yo-yo-your journalists trying to project... to exaggerate more than what actually happened. That-that-that-that's it. We are not the-the and I-I congratulate your journalists behaving like an actor, that-that's it...

Reporter: As you say that, sir, we're watching scenes of protesters being sprayed by chemical-filled water!

Minister: YA! I am watching! I'm here! You've been trying... trying to do it this - to do this everywhere but in Malaysia people are allowed to, you know? We know our police head our colleague... Police have whatever allowed the procession to go to the Istana Negara, you know? Do police, first police, like, they handle them, they attack them, they... the police don't, don't, don't fire anybody?

Reporter: Our correspondent came back to the office, sir, with chemicals in his eyes!

Minister:You-you-you-you are here with the idea, you are trying to project, what is your mind! You think that we Pakistan, we are Burma, we are Myanmar. Everything you-you are thinking! WE ARE DIFFERENT! We are totally different!

Reporter: Well unfortunately when you refuse to let people protest, it does appear so.

Minister: Ya ya we are not like you! You-you have earlier perception, you come here, you want to project us like undemocratic country. This a democratic country!

Reporter: So why can't people protest then, if it's a democratic country?

Minister: YES, PEOPLE PROTEST! People do-do... of course they protest. We are allowing them protest, and they have demonstrated. But we just trying to disperse them, and then later they-they-they don't wanna disperse, but later our police compromise. They have compromised and allowed them to proceed to Istana Negara! Police, our police have succeeded in handling them gently, right? Why do you report that? You take the opposition, someone from opposition party you ask him to speak. You don't take from the government, right?

Reporter: Why did you not break up these protests...

Minister: Pardon? Pardon? Pardon?

Reporter: Why did you not break up these protests more peacefully?

Minister: I can't hear you! I can't hear you!

Reporter: Why did you not break up these protests more peacefully?

Minister: No we-we are! We... this protest is illegal! We don't want..this... the... NORMALLY...

Reporter: OK, so let me return to my former question. Why is this protest illegal?

Minister: YA! It's a illegal protest because we have the erection in Malaysia. It's no-no point on having a protest! We are allowing to every erection... every five years never fail! We are not our like, like Myanmar, not like other country. And, and you are helping this. You Al-Jazeera also is helping this, this forces. The, you know, these forces who are not in passion, who don't believe in democracy!

Reporter: Alright, many thanks for joining us.

Minister: I don't, ya, you, Al-Jazeera, this is, is Al-Jazeera attitude. Right?

P.S, i borrowed this from Kennysia

For One More Day

Tuesday, November 06, 2007

As of late, i cant help noticing that my blog, in which its creation was meant to be a place for me to vent out all my personal disatisfactions and frustrations has now distant itself away from my personal side. It has now become more, (sounding like a hypocrite) more mainstream with so many notsocamho pictures of events and things i did over the weekend, the obligatory everymondayisanewmixtape monday or just a single sentenced post.

Not knowing why, i guess its just because, for once, i have a steady flow of work and things to do and for once, i actually look forward to working during the weekends. Extra cash was just the side dish so to speak. Mainly because i actually had fun. To work is one thing. To have fun while doing crappy cheap laboured work is a whole lot better!

To make it all better, the weather's been great. Raining almost every evening to keep the temperature comfortably low. If the weather was a person, i would just call her a bundle of joy or to be more ironic, she would just be sunshine to me!

Recently i just out of the blue have this sudden obsession for Doraemon. Doraemon you know, the future robotic cat sent back to help the dim-witted unlucky bullied Nobita bla bla bla. I've always been a big fan of doraemon. I remember buying his comic like twice a month and having a whole stack of doraemon comic only to find them slowly diminishing thanks to my mom who gave them away/ friends who borrowed and never gave them back/ friends just lost them. If none of those things happened, i believed i would actually have like a whole closet full of doraemon comics and if i were to sell them on ebay, i might actually be able to be a millionaire. *owh Nobita and the Wind Wizard has just finished downloading*grinzz*

Everything's set now. It is confirmed that i wont be able to make to to Auckland this christmas. Now i know, two months early isnt early at all. The flights were full for a whole month. THE WHOLE OF DECEMBER!!! Instead, i bought tickets back to kuching, for two freaking weeks! ( good news to everyone coming back, bad news for roger, no news for champ who's stuck in the land of hentai). Planned heaps of things to be done, catching up and tour-guiding for 3 days. Yea, im gonna be a tour guide, bringing one of my batchmates around kuching as he is going to drop by kuching for three nights and see for himself, whether all the boastings made by us sarawakians are true.

It is 10 minutes past midnight and Waayyyyy past my bedtime so i am just gonna leave it here with the usual obligatory lyrics-at-the-end-of-post lyrics.

This is how we multiply
Pity that its not my wife
The friction of skin
The trembling sigh

This is how our bodies move
With everything that we could lose
Pushing us deeper still
The sheets and the sweat
The seed and the spill
The bitter pill yet undiscovered

Gideon is in the drawer
Clothes scattered on the floor
Shes arching her back
She screams for more

Oh my sweet rapture
I hear Jesus calling me home

"Pedro The Lion - Rapture"

I know the song has nothing to do with the post but hey! It's about sex. Who doesnt love sex. It's our main purpose for living. The preserve the continuity of our species.

P.S : emo enough?

Oktober Fest, Again...

Saturday, November 03, 2007

Ok yay i got meself a cardreader and hence, more pictures today. I would have just edited yesterday's post but if i did that, then all of my efforts yesterday would have been in vain.

Oktober Fest

Friday, November 02, 2007

Sometimes, after spending too much time working, you'll end up feeling rather lost when you have nothing to do. This happened to me last saturday and to make things worse, there was a power outage from 10 am until the evening.

So what do you do? you go to aircond cooled malls of course. Plus, there was this oktoberfest thingy in Ou that very weekend , hence the reason for today's post.

The best thing about it is that you get to buy a bottle of beer for onely 1 RINGGIT!!! ( first 1000 only) but of course we werent there for the booze. its for the company and the enjoyment of hanging out with friends. Sheesh. what you think i am? an alcoholic? The fest was held at some open air place called Rainforest in Ou and accompanied by a Old School lookingYodeling German band who kept saying " Yam Seng" and their german equivalent and songs which none of us were listening to. Other than that, its all good.

After being able to get only two bottles of beer i tried their spicy hungrarian sausage which was quite good despite the fact that it was 15 ringgit all of us that it was time to walk around the mall to Cuci mata. Heh
I bought a screen protector for my camera and right after that had dinner in KFC with everyone and then after that the four of us ( The Chens, Woon and Me) ended up watching bourne ultimatum and only to come to go Mark and Tan drinking more booze. -_-"So in the end we had a blast and the end of that end is the fact that the weekend's over and weekday's coming which simply translates to routine.

*courtesy of chen for his pictures. the card reader of the house somehow decided to play hide and seek so i cant copy my pics from my sd card. technology can be a bitch sometimes. diu
